Located inside of the Deer Creek Lodge
We were seated quickly by a kind waitress who let us have one of the window seats with a view of the lake. Lake aside, Rafter’s has a beautiful atmosphere that is relaxing.
Rafter’s Bistro style menu offers a variety of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner – and they even have a kids menu for families. I ordered their Classic Club – which was a triple decker sandwich stacked with roasted turkey, ham, bacon, American & Swiss cheeses, tomatoes, lettuce, mayo on white toast bread – and my dad tried their Beer Batter Pollock served on a Kaiser roll. Both sandwiches came with a side of fries.
Our food was brought to our table shortly after we ordered. The fries were fresh and crispy, and tasted amazing without ketchup. By the time we were finished eating, the waitress asked if we were interested in dessert but we were both too full to even think about eating anything else (I couldn’t even finish the last corner of my sandwich).
The waitress offered suggestions, kept our drinks perfectly filled, was polite and did a wonderful job making us feel at home.
Probably the only minor downside was the cost for the lunch menu. We usually try to keep the food/drink portion of our lunch under $20 for 2 and they were slightly over that.
Price aside, I give Rafter’s Restaurant two big thumbs up and a rating of 4.5 out of 5 pumpkins.
